US-Controlled Syrian Refugee Camp Now A Concentration Camp
Most of the Syrian War is Over!
The US, since the below article was written, has converted the Rukban Refugee Camp, in the US military base at-Tanf, into a concentration camp of innocent Syrian civilians.
These civilians long ago fled war-torn Syrian areas back when ISIS and Al Qaeda dominated large swaths of Syrian territory. They sought refuge near the military base which the US had set up in order to block access of the Damascus-to-Baghdad Highway. Essentially, over the years, the US has let the Syrian rebel militants it sponsors — much like Latino drug gangs assist US-friendly dictators — control the governing of the refugee camp. Outside aid from humanitarian groups is rare and mostly prevented.
Now, several years later, Syria has re-established control over most of its territory and has invited the refugees to return to their homes. Many who fled into other countries and to other refugee camps set up inside of Syria have successfully returned to their homes and are today rebuilding their lives.
But not those at the Rukban Refugee Camp which remains under strict US military-rebel control. UN investigators have occasionally visited the site and it is well-established that nearly all of the camp’s occupants want to return to home. But the US won’t let ‘em leave. In essence, they are held prisoners!
It’s believed by many the US is keeping this refugee camp active, when it need not, so it can continue to weakly justify the US military presence in Syria. Most world diplomats and reasonable thinkers know the US is violating international law by its military presence in Syria, a sovereign nation. Unlike the Russians, Iranians and Iraqis, Syria considers the US presence as a violation of sovereignty.

As an American, I am disgusted by the behavior of my government! I encourage everyone to help make the Rukban Refugee [Concentration] Camp — Syria itself — an important issue in the 2020 presidential campaign!
