Whether calling on the GOP-friendly US Supreme Court to install George W. Bush over Al Gore in 2000; whether going to war in Iraq without a supporting UN Resolution; whether failing to support Barack Obama’s fair SCOTUS nomination while installing their own SCOTUS pick under appalling circumstances; whether defying a 123-year tradition of not appointing a Federal judge after a presidential election; or whether installing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s wife as Secretary of Transportation … we can today depend upon Republicans to act wrongfully.
Below are two articles I wrote describing how Donald Trump & his GOPwingers can actually prevent Joe Biden from becoming the US president even though he won the election, his election was backed by Supreme Court and multiple Federal Court decisions and his presidency has been confirmed and certified by the Electoral College.
The first article, written after the election, describes what essentially amounts to martial law conditions with Trump remaining in the White House. In 2018, Trump declared a state of emergency over US elections and signed executive order 13848. This order has been renewed and is currently in force.
The second article, written before the election (with some post-election updates), describes Trump’s pre-election strategy and highlights the some moves he likely would make to keep his presidency.
In my humble opinion, this reality is chilling. If Trump follows through, it theoretically could result in the break-up of the union as America would divide into separate red and blue state nations. The potential for martial law and even civil war is real, folks!

Why has Trump come as far as he has today, insisting he won the election and the 2020 election was riddled with fraud? The answer must lie involve some of what is written above. Keep your helmets, your pads, your snorkels and fins at ready — this ain’t over!
The best way to solve all of this is for America to once again get back to progressive roots in governing!
