— Trump Campaign Spawns Multiple Lawsuits to Limit the Vote Across the Nation
How Trump Can Prevent a Biden Presidency:
Think how Donald Trump would have behaved had Barack Obama held a Democratic campaign event on the White House lawn! In a clear violation of The Hatch Act, The Trump Campaign has held two very large White House campaign events (his party’s nomination acceptance speech and an October 9th rally). Trump has also done his level best to convert White House press conferences and the Covid-19 Task Force briefings into campaign shenanigans.
Worse, Trump is attempting to entangle and delegitimize elections in multiple states by creating numerous legal challenges which will serve as table-setters for post-election challenges. Trump’s political operatives are employing a cruel threefold strategy intended to work for Trump’s advantage:
- Encourage and create low voter turn-out which would empower his own political base. His want to limit the potential Democratic vote has become a key objective. In 2016, the GOP used the computerized Crosscheck Voter Elimination system effectively to scrub voters from certain zip codes from the voting rolls. Crosscheck is still in effect and is now complemented by new legal strategies to attack voting by mail, which has been deemed necessary by many states due to a want to stop the spread of the virus during the Covid pandemic.
- If enough Democrats vote by mail, then Trump, with his political base, stands a chance of winning the in-person vote on election day, November 3rd. When the likely strong Democratic mail-in votes then become counted, Trump will lose. Trump will then vociferously decry the election was “rigged” and he lost due to “fraud,” and he’ll highlight how he won the in-person vote.
- His rabid political base will disrupt actual polling and certification procedures so as to create chaos in states whose executive or legislative branches are GOP-controlled. At present, the GOP controls 28 states and the Democrats 22. If the Electoral College (EC) certification procedure can become so disrupted that no candidate can attain the necessary 270 EC votes to win, then the election gets tossed into the US House of Representatives.
In the US House, each state has one vote. To become president a majority House vote is required. However, a quorum of two-thirds of members present is necessary to conduct the vote. Controlling the US House, Democrats — knowing they are down 28 states to 22 states — will most likely continually deny the quorum.
Here’s the kicker with the 12th Amendment. If by March 4th no new president is determined by a House vote, then the sitting Vice President (Mike Pence) becomes president. The new Vice President would become the next-highest voter getter for VP (Katherine Harris).
Trump would either somehow negotiate an “Art of The Deal” to maintain his presidency. At worst, he could lose it to Pence, with Harris as VP. With Pence as President, Trump — and his family — then will get a clear-cut pardon for the many crimes committed before and during the Trump presidency. It’ll all be pegged as “For The Good of The Nation!”
Folks, what is desperately needed is for Democrats to win the 2020 election in a landslide so as to prevent any of the above from happening. If we’ve learned anything, it is Republicans will never change. Except for some brief moderate Ike Eisenhower years, the GOP has been cruel for people and great for corporations for the past 100 years. Sadly, this scale of economy even seeded into the Clinton-Obama Democrats. America, more than ever, needs the FDR-styled Democrats back in power.
Below, are examples of Trump’s hanky-panky with the electoral process for 2020. Keep in mind that after every 10-year Census undertaking, legislative redistricting takes place. The very last thing we want is for Trump’s GOPwingers to control the process of redistricting future elections into 2030. This would not only be a disaster for our nation, but for the planet.
