Elect Bernie Sanders President — But Give Him Two Vice Presidents!

de facto = adj.

  • Existing in actuality, especially when contrary to or not established by law.
  • In fact; in reality; actually existing, whether with or without legal or moral right: as, a government or a governor de facto.
  • Actually; in fact; in reality.

I know it’s a wild idea and I’m certainly thinking out of the box. But let’s play with the concept and see where it evolves.

Dream-Catcher to Heal A Nation!

How Democrats Can Strengthen The Ticket — Heal The Nation

First of all, I support Bernie Sanders and want him to become our next president for lots of good reasons. Secondly, I’m also aware Bernie noted he wanted to appoint a woman as his vice presidential candidate, which would not only be great and deserving, but also healing in nature for the Democratic Party.

Meet Tulsi Gabbard!

But since Bernie made his statement a new and exciting force of presidential energy is rapidly emerging onto the nominating landscape for Democrats. This new force comes from a man whose ideas are too brilliant and whose technological awareness and too great and too well-needed for the nation to ignore.

Meet Andrew Yang!

With this background, I hereby nominate Bernie Sanders for president; Tulsi Gabbard as foreign policy (official) vice president; and Andrew Yang for domestic policy (de facto) vice president.

Together, They’ll Heal America!

Conclusion? These three running together as a ticket is the winning ticket to defeat Donald Trump or any member of the Republican Party which traditionally has been oligarch-centric and a political party devoid of any constructive ideas.

Method to The Madness

Interestingly and incredulously, the role of the vice president is purposefully vague. It’s actually constitutionally debated whether the VP serves in the executive branch, the legislative branch, both or neither. Nobody really knows. I don’t believe this matter has ever been determined by the Supreme Court.

So precedent is up for grabs.

Given the unique challenges of our modern technological society, compared to a document written on hemp paper hundreds of years ago, why not enhance the power of the presidency so there can exist two vice presidents. One VP would specialize in foreign policy while the other could specialize with domestic policy?

Given the ultimate importance of defending our nation, Bernie’s foreign policy vice president (Gabbard) would officially hold the office as designated within our constitution. However, there’s nothing to prevent a de facto vice president (Yang) from sharing similar duties of the office.

The vice president, constitutionally, has three principle duties:

  1. Preside over the US Senate.
  2. Cast a vote only when necessary to break a US Senate vote tie.
  3. To assume the presidency should something happen to the president.

These duties would officially be assigned to Vice-President of Foreign Policy, Tulsi Gabbard.

Now here’s where it gets really interesting. Yang, even though de facto, would hold power too!

There is nothing in the Constitution that determines how the US House elects its speaker, who is third in line for presidential succession. The House can organize and elect whomever it wants to preside as speaker and they need not even be an elected member of the House. So, presuming the Democrats keep the House in 2020, the House could then elect Vice President of Domestic Policy, Andrew Yang, as its speaker.

Thus, both vice presidents would constitutionally be in line for succession to the presidency, if so required. As a side note, this would also mean the president and one of his vice presidents — not both VPs— could fly on the same plane together, something which can’t happen today— lol!

Of course, in order for this work, Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein types would have to say uncle and disavow their role in America’s Oligarch Protection Unit — either convert to the people, or step aside!

Our Revolution? You bet! Go for it! Send the three of ‘em — Sanders, Gabbard and Yang — all across the country and finally defeat what’s been plaguing our nation ever since JFK was shot!
