United Nations Adopts Resolution for Healthcare

Health Care Nationally

Granted, due to Republicans holding up Minnesota Al Franken’s 2008 Senate confirmation and Mass senator Ted Kennedy’s death, there was only a short window where the Democrats controlled a veto-proof US Senate and US House, this with Barack Obama in the presidency. America could have then had single-payer Medicare for All.

But Democratic leadership caved in to the Medical lobby and alternatively passed the Affordable Care Act.

Health Care in California

California, the world’s 5th largest economy, also with a Democratic veto-proof legislature and Democratic governor, in 2017 legislatively tabled the single payer Medicare for All bill instead of passing it despite widespread support for the bill. Again, Democratic leadership failed.

70% of Americans want free health care for all — Put America in tune with the rest of the world — Elect Bernie Sanders!

An overwhelming majority of Americans want single-payer Medicare for All. We’re hoping a Bernie Sanders presidency will finally correct what’s long been a stain upon our society.
