Challenge Trump on War — Military Industrial Complex Feed the Wealthy!
A year ago Trump said in his UN speech:
“We will be spending almost $700 billion on our military and defense. Our military will soon be the strongest it has ever been“
No, we’re not spending $700 billion on our military and defense. We’re spending most of that money so already wealthy defense contractors can get even more money. There will also be some new new tech firms, set up to take in millions, that will spawn creation of overnight very well politically-connected millionaires.
We need to face the fact America has a lousy reputation because of its multitudinous wars, proxy wars, government overthrows and penchant for election meddling. It’s time to conclude America will never win any war unless it has the full support of the people for whom it presumes to fight for.
A large military budget and presence does not win a war! It only makes American soldiers targets for a dissatisfied and angry populace inspired into terrorist actions. America’s military policy has become a terrorist manufacturing mill.
When, in recent history, has America’s military been successful? And if there exists a presumption of its success, why then do we need over 900 military bases located throughout the world? This shows only the existence of an imperial power. Military bases located in other countries do not exist due for humanitarian concerns.
Think how your respective member of congress comes home and brags how the military will spend large amounts of federal money on a project within their congressional district and claim it will provide jobs? This is a sign you should never vote for that politician again becaue they are doing more harm than good!
It’s also an indicator that your member of congress has been bought and is now owned by America’s oligarchy which is only concerned with military spending, oil profits, banking interests and worse.
Where I pray tell ask are America’s anti-war Democrats? Go ahead, name them!
Pitifully, 90 percent of Senate Democrats and two-thirds of House Democrats not only voted to support Trump’s military budget, but they also voted to increase what Trump bragged about. Why on earth would vote to give Trump, of all people, unfit for the office of the presidency, that kind of money and power!?!
If your respective Democratic politician is not anti-war, pro-union and is not a pro-single payer health care advocate you should definitely vote against them in your respective primaries. Republicans historically have supported profits over people. What’s sad is today’s Democrats have joined them!
